Cxi tiu ne estas mia favorata gxenro, sed mi trovis kuriozan anoncon:

-----------

Favorite Hymn Translated.

The hymn "Abide With Me" has been translated into Yiddish and
Esperanto, and both of the translators are Baltimoreans.

FONTO: Chicago Defender, 3 Feb 1912, p. 3, col. 4

Melville. Jen la specifa himno:

"Restu kun mi : subiras jam la sun'"
Abide with me, fast falls the eventide
Verkis (angle) : Henry Francis LYTE, 1847
Esperantigis : Montagu Christie BUTLER

Himnaro" hymn list in English

Do, cxu Butler estas la sama tradukinto (supozeble ne jidlingven)? Lia

Himnaro estis eldonita en 1910.

Sercxante, mi hazarde trovis cxi tiun romanon:

The Dazzle of Day by Molly Gloss
http://www.amazon.com/Dazzle-Day-Molly-Gloss/dp/031286437X

 From Library Journal
Gloss's second novel (following The Jump-Off Creek, LJ 7/89), and her
first in the sf genre, explores a utopian theme. A group of
Esperanto-speaking Quakers search for a new planet to colonize. Many
generations and 175 years later, they arrive at their New World, a
planet whose inhospitable climate causes them to debate staying in
the safe cocoon of their ship. This is the story of generations
intermarrying, getting along, fighting, and resolving differences in
the Quaker way on a ship outfitted more like a pueblo than a tin can.
These fascinating interactions in a biodome in the sky could just as
well have taken place on an island. Highly recommended for sf collections.
