[Membroj] Why Zamenhof stepped down?

"The inventor of Esperanto, a Polish Jew, Dr. Zamenhof, has recently 
withdrawn from the direction of that movement, and the president of 
the recent Cracow Esperanto Congress, Dr. Mikolajski, explains the 
step by saying that Dr. Zamenhof feels that the Esperanto movement is 
being checked because its leader is a Jew. In his judgment great 
numbers would unite with the organization if the leadership should 
pass to other hands."
