Not sure I can plan that far ahead, but my calendar is empty for that day
so far. If I don't have work or a doctor's appointment, I can come, but
only if someone gives me a ride to and fro from DC. I have an enormous
Esperanto library, though I haven't bought anything for some years. Tell
me what you think is appropriate for show-and-tell. There are some
important books in English I don't have, like that new expensive
English-language compendium of Esperanto literature (talk about
impressing people), and the Benson dictionary. <br><br>
So maybe there'll be two lonely cranks. The more the merrier.<br><br>

I'm going to go to U of Maryland on Monday Nov. 16, 4-5:30 pm to present
about Esperanto.<br>
I don't have much in the way of show-and-tell goodies besides some books,
and I'm especially lacking in beginner material. I'd love it if
someone else or more could come along - at least it would give the
impression that Esperanto DC is more than one lonely crank, but instead
is composed of many lonely cranks :)<br>
So please email me if you are available to come to UMD that day to man an
information table. How often do we get *invited* out of the blue to
do such a thing?<br>

Dear Jed,<br><br>
Thanks for your reply! We are very excited that the Esperanto Society
of<br>
Washington may want to come and share with us the magic of Esperanto.
We<br>
also noticed that the week of November 16-20 is International
Education<br>
Week at the University of Maryland<br>
(<a href="http://international.umd.edu/ies/2990">
http://international.umd.edu/ies/2990</a>), so it would be in fact
very<br>
appropriate to have you guys come on Monday the 16th of November. What
do<br>
you think of this? I'm very much looking forward to this! Hope to
hear<br>
from you soon.<br><br>
Cheers,<br><br>
